Trump's support base is essentially white people who are perpetually pissed off and looking for someone to blame for their problems. Who think the country was destroyed in the last 8 years and needs to be redestroyed. I don't think there is much rational thought behind supporting Trump other than the hope someone shows up to Washington with a match and a can of gasoline.

It's a bit frightening but thankfully they are a dying breed and this looks to be their last hurrah. I wish we had a better candidate than Hillary to make ths a non-event but she will still win and I dont think it will be very close. Not enough stupid outside the deep south and rural flyover who want to cut their noses off to spite their faces for the unthinkable to happen -- although the Clinton campaign had better stay on their toes and put this nutjob away.

Will breathe a lot easier come mid November though.
