According to the article, Blumenthal allegedly received a leak
In between all the opinions there were a few factual allegations in there. If they hold up it sounds like there is plenty of grounds to investigate whether there was someone within the intelligence community leaking information deliberately to uncleared people (the prime suspect in this case died of cancer but if Blumenthal knew it was classified when he sent it he is also at fault).
This fits a pattern in Clinton investigations. It starts with a dragnet around every minute detail regarding the Clintons. They are found to have acted carefully and within the law except for minor things that are common and generally never prosecuted without clear intent, but someone nearby is found to be engaged in actual shenanigans and acting much less carefully, and always with only a tangential relationship to the original allegations regarding the Clintons.
If you have something to hide or act illegally in your dealings, by all means stay away from the Clintons - you will eventually get a rectal examination during a future witchhunt.
