...for quite a bit longer. That is, of course, unless they go truly Machiavellian and decide to crash the system (assuming they can later regain control) in order to convince everyone what a bad idea "Brexit" and similar acts of disobedience against "the system" are. Can't really see them doing that, though, as their hold is already becoming more tenuous and I think they know that. Not sure they'd have the horses to get things back in line if they let it crash here.

Either way, In the long run, they're ultimately hosed. Of course, in the long run we're all dead anyway. I'm betting they put their efforts into keeping things goosed/juiced as long as possible to squeeze as much as they can out of what's left of the economy, rather than risking a premature end to the "party". Maybe they still believe that ultimately trillions of free money will somehow restore a moribund economy to true health, though I think at this point they're just trying to forestall the inevitable and keep their heads out of the proverbial noose-- Hoo knows? At any rate, you can go crazy trying to bet on the end of the world and, at the end of the day, that's not a winning bet no matter how things turn out.
