His racist attack (and this is what a number of solid Republicans are calling it) on the Mexican judge (who is unfit merely because his parents were immigrants back in the 1940's or so) on the judge of Mexican heritage seems to have crossed the line, a dog whistle too loud, if you will.

Furthermore, new reports are out that he has put together almost no communications team. His scam university won't sit well with millenials who are swamped by college debt.

To compound it all, Hillary is making him look..well, thin-skinned, an observation Donald will be helpless not to illustrate because he is thin-skinned.

The short burst of supportive polls in favor of right after Donald became the nominee seems to be eroding over the last week although polls right now are not very important, imo.

Matthew Conetti has a column at RCP, in which he essentially declares his refusal to be sucked into the denial of the last time when he would dismiss every tea leaf that favored Obama while swallowing any evidence of Romney momentum. He argues that given the relative strong economy and Obama favorability, the advantage tilts significantly toward Hillary.

I really don't think Donald will rise much above where he is---that brash rudeness that served him so well in the primary look really bad on the general stage, imo.
