In my view anybody that can get on 50 state ballots should be deemed a


legitimate candidate and be included in the televised debates. The 10 or 15% threshold is awfully high. Just a hunch that it was likely a barrier set by the parties for them to agree to debate more than the networks. Bernie himself is proof that a low initial number in polls does not mean a candidate will not achieve some success.
