1) He ran a campaign on curbing the power of the big banks and has consistently displayed woeful ignorance on the subject of finance. I think the definition of an asshole is when someone talks about something and they have no clue what they're talking about. Bernie didn't just talk; Bernie goddamn campaigned.

2) He is running a scorched Earth campaign now, demonizing Clinton to such a degree that his dumbass acolytes in his Children's crusade have such a negative opinion of Clinton that they're no longer willing to support her against Trump. TRUMP. All to teach the Democrats a lesson. This really won't have too much of an outcome on the presidency, IMO, but it's going to affect every other race: governors, House and Senate races.

3) He seems to think that the Democratic nomination is analogous to a direct democracy. For a guy who's been a Democrat for less than a year, he's got some serious opinions on how the PARTY should select its nominee. He's just harming the party with this rhetoric and helping the right. If he gives a shit about sensible policy in this country, he won't have a hand in helping the Republicans retain control of the Senate, which he is currently doing.

4) It's easy to appear to be ideologically pure when you venture nothing by your votes and positions. From the comfortable perch of a Senate seat in the People's Republic of Vermont, you can grandstand for all kinds of dumbassed liberal policies without consequences from the electorate. To criticize politicians who approach governance with pragmatism and not dogma is pretty asshole-ish.

5) He loves him some him. This guy's proving to be an egomaniac. Debating Trump is the latest example. The only people his actions benefit right now are him, and the Republican Senators downticket of Trump who have tough reelections.

Bernie sucks. Bernie's supporters suck. Everything about their unhinged from reality policies sucks. Dude needs to go away back to Vermont yesterday.
