So not sure why you are so myopic on this

An event attended by hundreds is a REAL, valid, true expression of the feelings of those who attended the event. They went to the effort of going there and expressing their feelings. Whether those hundreds are representative of the entire population of native Americans in this country is anyone's guess. I am NOT saying they are or are not.

I am simply saying that no matter how "scientifically valid" the 504 people sample and their response, when reached, to some phone questions, may be......it does not meet the smell test for me due to opposite feelings expressed by groups of native Americans around the country in addition to that group of protestors....and I have seen enough opinion polls, and understand statistical sampling and polling well enough to not simplistically take a poll result as gospel.

So the question remains open for me.

That really seems to offend your sensibilities. Not sure why
