Big military-smaller military(still largest on earth), still we've have war

That's our style, and that's continual since 9/11. The issue isn't that. The issue is why. We'll destroy extremist "threats,' like Saddam or Assad. We're mighty. they're not. But some folks there don't love us for all the destruction or the challenge to what they believe or what they see their interests to be. Hence there'll be more 'war,' if you want to call it that.

We hate the dictators and the extremists who oppose them. We espouse 'democracy,' whatever that means, and have no way to ensure the majority where we intervene will love us or dance to our tune. We fight their oppressors, and we'll fight them if they don't do what we want. Unfortunately, we're not too clear about what we really want.

Hence we'll have war. there really isn't any alternative.
