Because it's a non-story.
Let's see if I get this straight:
-- Energy Pioneer Solutions is a startup company that insulates people’s homes and allows them to pay via their utility bills. Sounds like an interesting experiment: finding new ways to insulate homes that don’t require big upfront outlays for homeowners. The company is owned by several Democratic Party donors, some of whom are friends with the Clintons. This is not a small universe.
--Six years ago, philanthropist Kim Samuel decided to make a $2 million commitment to the company. The $2 million was pledged to cover the costs of energy-smart retrofits in three Nebraska towns. Nice experiment in impact investing. In the end, she committed only $500,000.
--This commitment went through the Clinton foundation.
