I was surprised by how much the two higher earners say they

need to live the lifestyle they want. The guy making a million says he needs $25M. The guy making $250K per year says he needs $600K of yearly income (which at today's interest rates means he needs $12-$15M). As I've gotten older, my "need" for money has become much more about financial security (not having to work, not worrying about losing my job, etc) and less about wanting more things. But then again, the $1M/yr guy is quite a bit younger than me and when I was 35, the # I aspired to was a lot bigger than it is now. And the $250k/yr guy is single and living in miami so I guess I'm not surprised he aspires to a much nicer lifestyle.
