Anyone have a guess about these motions to compel testimony in Baltimore
The Court has granted the prosecutor's motion but not yet provided an opinion. I was wondering what the great legal minds on the Sabre think about this decision and the legal argument that supports such a decision? And since the compelled testimony can't be used against the witness in their own trial could this backfire? What if the witnesses decide to take responsibility for Gray's death themselves? They wouldn't have to say "I murdered him" they could just testify in a manner that leads the jury to believe that they are responsible and the defendant is not. Once exonerated the defendant would return the favor at their trial.
