There's a benefit if you think it's important to finally acknowledge
that women, not just men, have played a significant role in the history and culture of this country, and in the specific case of Harriet Tubman, that a black woman who fought slavery was important and is worthy of a high honor in our national culture and will be seen every day by millions of people in a way that reminds them of that fact, and in a manner that has until now been reserved only for white men. Plenty of women and black people think it's important. As polarized as our country is, small acts of inclusiveness like this that can make us more unified, however slightly, are worth it. For once you might want to try to see the value and importance of somethng that doesn't directly benefit you or your wallet. [Post edited by SixerHoo at 04/20/2016 3:18PM]
