Serious question, what do you suggest for securing the southern border? Do
nothing? I'll admit a wall or fence is mostly symbolic, without someone watching it and being there to catch folks that scale it (and a willingness to spend that cost). And we need a better way to deal with folks that come in via other means, as well as a true employment verification (not sure how you practically do that without also letting illegals start being legal). But at some point you have to, and should be able to control the tide.
I honestly smh as to why this issue keeps dragging on. It doesn't seem the solutions from both sides should be that different, but maybe it's just my ignorance on what the Dems actually want. At least not that different until you throw in the political plays from both sides.
BTW, there is one distinction between those 3. I don't believe Rubio is suggesting deporting 11 million people. And honestly it surprises me that Cruz doesn't get called on that more when he tries to attack Rubio (or Trump) on that issue. Seriously Ted, is that what you're advocating now (as opposed to a few years ago)? To round them all up and deport them?
