Things in their background are more than cringeworthy in some cases. I can attest to all of that as I am one. And most of my frat brothers are extremely successful and involved in charitable works and all sorts of shit. But having grown up with them, I know who the scumbags in the gang are. And to see them and hear them talk, you'd never, ever know it. Some are like reformed inmates. But not all, not even half. Most were normal dudes. But then again, my frat was like the Delta house and we only had a few dudes who would be Omega material.

Trustafarians are total wild cards. But way, way more entitled than your average frat boy.
