Cicadas getting more & more noticeable by the day. Friday, they began

to come up out of the ground. Their shells were everywhere. But the whirling sound was faint and far off coming from the golf course.

Today, much louder whirling and while distant seems to be starting to circle my house.

Interestingly, I treat the front and side yards for grubs, and there are almost no cicadas. However the backyard is mostly natural sections with bushes and flowers. And cicadas.

Headed for a week & a half at the OBX. Hopefully they will have peaked by then.
