I fundamentally disagree that the constitution places a pres above the law.

Presidents are generally required to seek congressional approval for wars. More of that war making authority has accrued to the presidency since WW2, but I don’t think anyone would place murder of a citizen of the US inside the US above the law. And I don’t think the impossibility of ever getting to 2/3 in the senate these days shield’s him.

I think if Biden ordered the assassination of Trump or MTG, he would be guilty of a crime, regardless of whether enough dem senators voted to convict.

The immunity should not be blanket. It should be a question for the trial (and appeals) court. National leaders being unaccountable to the rule of law is literally as 🍌 republic as it gets.
