I think it’s just more intense than normal. Voters usually pick the lesser


Evil as they see it. And truth of the matter is, a large subset of Trump’s support is extremely enthusiastic. He’s terrible in many ways, but he’s America’s most talented demagogue in generations.

Big difference is so many see the other option as an existential threat. The lesser evil thing is far more intense than in pre-Trump elections.
