best path for presidency is as a smarter Trump. But he doesn't have the charisma to pull that off. And you can't try to claim you are better version of something when you are too scared of attacking the faults of the old version. Hindsight is 20/20, but think he would done better if he either stick with his FL governing principles and try to expand that nationally or be "smart Trump" but attack Trump more directly.
