Looks like there was a similar bi-partisan MAHSA bill introduced in the Senate well before that one passed. As of now, it appears that remains stuck in committee, and thus has never been brought to a vote by Chuckie.

Seems odd something with bipartisan support in both houses would get stuck, or why the House wouldn't send something over with such overwhelming support, but I'm thinking there is more to this story than what Jamie wants us to know.
