That's both bananas and heartbreaking ... and it probably puts you in a

tough spot because if you say something and recommend against it, you run the risk of the parent (who already shows little evidence of good decision making) of leaving the world of evidence based medicine behind entirely and JUST going to the chiro ... who is undoubtedly telling the parents this is a good idea and that they have a full, upgraded "treatment plan" available.
