This was all they intended to do almost as soon as drones hit the air, before they were anywhere close to Israel. They immediately backchanneled a message to us saying “we’re done!” Meaning they were scared shitless hoping everyone would let it drop here. They’re happy to take their loss.

Of course there were choreographed street celebrations of their great victory, which looks idiotic to the rest of the world, but helps keep them from desperation to avoid lost credibility and power. Which makes it less likely they’ll do anything stupid.
