Mossadegh in favor of a dictator called the Shah. If Mossadegh had been allowed to mature a democratically elected and more secular government, Iran might be a modern and more progressive country today, perhaps even a moderating influence. Of course, he had the audacity to oppose British Petroleum's ownership of Iran's oil. Voila! He's a communist!!
