...the country fell into full-on banana republic territory. I started posting here sometime in mid- to late-2020. At that point, what was going on nationally with COVID tyranny and rigging an election was bad enough.

Since then, though, we have seen three-plus years of abuse of the legal system to target the opposition -- primarily Trump, but also including his close and mass supporters -- coupled with an invasion of illegal aliens encouraged by the current regime. These are two phenomena that will literally destroy this country. As such, I post on them more than anything else, and I do so stridently and with complete mockery of the fools who cheer it on while claiming to be the good guys.

In the story I linked to start this thread, my intent was partially to point out the rank hypocrisy and lies we've seen from Soapbox posters and the DNC/Dems/Biden on the issue of Trump using campaign funds to pay his legal bills (which I couldn't care less about whether it's Trump or Biden doing it) while Biden and the DNC were doing the exact same thing.

But the more stunning aspect of the story was the $100M+ Trump has had to fork over in legal bills to fight off corrupt leftist lawfare. That is pure election-rigging on the part of Dems suing and prosecuting him in the blue area show trials, not to mention the foundational intent of bankrupting and jailing their political opponent using kangaroo courts. It's disgusting and un-American, but, more so, their opening this Pandora's Box of banana republic tactics is not something we are likely to recover from. Hence, my interest in it.
