You know when else we set all time highs for US credit card debt?

Q217, Q317, Q417, Q318, Q418, Q319, Q419. Then the pandemic hit and Trump started sending bigly checks to everyone. Credit card debt came way down, but US debt went way up. It was awesome. And totally fiscally conservative

Not sure if you think this is earth shattering news, but credit card debt tends to go up over time and set all time records.

It’s up roughly 6% per year from the pre pandemic peak. Much of this is inflation driven as prices are up 4.5% per year over that same timeframe. Not great news, but sort of is what it is right now.
