You do understand that there’s a lot more nuance to that bill …

1. To intentionally kill a baby that is born alive is already CRIMINAL. It’s homicide. That has NOT changed. SO NO … Democrats do NOT allow babies to be intentionally killed after birth.

2. The Democrats argued that this measure (bill) could help further restrict abortion access by threatening health care providers.

“At this moment, we’re at a crisis point for abortion access across the country. Anti-abortion politicians have made it their job to bury abortion providers under so many TRAP laws that providing and accessing essential health care …”

=> in a vacuum … yes, in the rare cases babies who survive abortions should get healthcare. However, considering the motives of most Republicans trying to ban abortion all together … there’s a reason Democrats are so skeptical especially when it further threatens the providers. And that is the THE ISSUE. This skepticism is further supported by the ruling in Arizona banning abortions … limiting access to abortions for women.
