The best way to keep these aggressive adversaries in check is for them to see Russian aggression fail. And by supporting Ukraine in their battle, there’s a much greater chance of that happening, and at a far lower cost — in both US dollars and lives — than if Ukraine falls to Putin and we have to intervene militarily to defend a NATO ally.
