Predict voting results. As we keep seeing in special elections. It’s a voter enthusiasm question.

Are voters realistic about a democracy of 330 mil? You really never get ideal candidates (you have to be a little twisted to want the job). Trump is a unicorn, in that he’s a demagogue supreme who makes those who fall under his thrall support him unconditionally. On the other side, nobody really loves Biden. Some voters like him; most are really voting against Trump. Could be a tough dynamic.

If the progressive left can’t handle a lesser evil concept here, and come out in force for Biden (whether your hot button is LGBTQ, Gaza, or other minority rights), which is how Trump can win, well, then the progressive left deserves what it gets. Trump 2.0 is likely to be infinitely more autocratic than 1.0, if you’re paying attention to their public plans. It would be insane for ardent lefties, and really all anti-Trumpies, to not come out in force in Nov. But that is possible.
