Do you see anyone on this board trying to defend that point of view? The other person that took that position back then (2018) was Stacey Abrams, who was pretty much universally criticized here for doing it.

On the other hand, I do see people excusing Donald Trump's behavior (he never conceded in the election he lost, the loser in 2016 did) and continuing to cast doubt on how our institutions performed in 2020.

That's the primary difference. The mainstream of one party never really embraced that view while most of the people left in the second party did (and even continued to knowingly lie to the American people).

Dexter- did the Democratic party's challenger win legitimately in the 2020 presidential election?
