Very similar feelings including the belief that the majority of college
fans feel at least ballpark the same way. I am willing to admit I may be biased by my own universe of friends, but at the very least -- it has to mean some degree of less general interest I think. I completely disagree philosophically with where things seem headed (players likely defined as employees, the current transfer landscape, some aspects of NIL).
I've been a gigantic fan of what Bennett has worked to build both on and off the court as a program -- just the absolute core of what it can be all about and with phenomenal program success. In general, UVA has done a pretty strong job building programs with the right foundation and with wonderful results.
We've had our share of gut-punching losses, but such is sports and almost any successful program -- its the way the ball bounces, especially when competing at the highest levels of sport and often with teams that are a sum greater than the individual parts -- the essence of what team sport can be all about.
