care about is that so many people put so much stock into what he says, no matter how profoundly stupid it is. This is a guy who thinks Roman emperors were a great thing (no doubt because that's how he envisions himself), who supports authoritarian tendencies in the US, who is online now touting the Great Replacement bullshit.

Musk is a billionaire, but he's an idiot outside of his areas of expertise (and sometimes in them...Twitter purchase appears to be crazy). But the fact that he's a billionaire somehow gives him more credibility with some people. As a billionaire, his potential for meddling in government and foreign affairs also makes him unaccountable and dangerous. I don't trust him and I sure as hell don't admire him.
