...the obvious politicization and perversion of the law by government actors as we've seen in spades in the prosecution of the Trump & Co. fake cases. That is not a critique of the legal system per se, but rather of corrupt officials abusing that system -- i.e., it's a criticism of the banana republic itself.

For non-show trials, I have faith in the legal/court system, which, while imperfect, is better than anything else I can think of. That's why I'm not on here bitching about Joe Sixpack in Bloomington, IN, being cited for jaywalking, but instead bitching about corrupt Democrats using Democrat juries and judges to punish and remove their political opponents on trumped up charges. I think everyone is perfectly aware of what I have been referring to, but some folks need to pretend not to know things.
