Since Biden's handling of classified documents was not charged upon a thorough investigation by Robert Hur, a Trump appointee, the next best thing was to call him to testify in hopes of muddying the water. Although Hur did give Biden the "Bill Barr Treatment" of mischaracterizing the findings in a highly cherry picked and misleading statement released prior to the release of the actual interview transcripts, his testimony destroyed any notion of equivalency between Trump and Biden. Oh, and despite Hur's portrayal of Biden as a doddering man who can't remember when his son died, the transcripts reveal the truth. That portrayal was a fiction to provide talking points until the transcripts were released to the public. But hey, the QOPers did get a couple of weeks to spin some lies, as is their habit. So, all in all, mission accomplished, despite another national embarrassment for them.
