Anyone can manipulate the macro data to fit their narrative …

I don’t have a problem with that. Unfortunately, when LAHoo’s spin is filled conspiracy theories and questionable data analysis, it’s hard to take him seriously.

People can legitimately take a position that last week’s data was mixed when taken context in the big picture with other macro numbers. However, to say it was bad and then pointing to yesterday’s market performance is a bit too much. The market held up last week even in the face of great uncertainty. IMO, that’s a win when I thought we’d see a bit of a pull back.

I’m long term bearish on the markets, but we have to acknowledge the resiliency of Biden’s economy in the face of a tough global environment. And yes, it is an election year which the markets are well aware. That has also helped.
