I amazingly totally whiffed on this speech - got home around 8:45 and forgot to turn it on. I’m thinking that was a defense mechanism, because I’m dreading this election season. I think it’s going to be the worst of our lifetimes. Endless, and really bitter.

I think we have to wait to see what impact this has on national attitudes. But I agree, it does appear Biden exceeded expectations (which repubs play a large part in setting very low). Early returns seem to be positive.
