Unless he’s incapacitated or incarcerated, Trump‘s gonna run for president.


And he will peel off most of his core group with him. I don’t know that there’s any other candidate that his group would follow as long as Trump at least says he is running for president and he’ll turn his base against whoever the GOP nominates in place of him.
If he’s incarcerated, I think the only Republican nominee his base would follow would be one who took up the mantle in defense of Trump and all his lies. Would Nikki sell out? My cynical answer is probably.
If he’s incapacitated, I think some of the base will follow the GOP nominee, even if it’s Nikki, who would be the best choice because she might draw some voters from Biden and might not have to sell out to the memory of Trump as much. I do wonder about voter turnout.
