Thanks, and here’s where the terminology is important, at least to me
I don’t have a lot of problem with immigrants who are here under the asylum process, awaiting their hearing, having an access to that fund, but I think citizens who qualify should get priority.
If someone is truly here, illegally, just snuck in and or is not in a formal asylum or admission program, I don’t think they should qualify for that fund or for mortgage.
i’d be surprised if mortgage lenders, whether banks, or not, or the quasi government agencies that buy almost all mortgage loans or guarantee them would allow someone here illegally to be accepted for a loan.
