Fair enough ... Wouldn't be surprised if there's some bloat/overlap here

FBI has tons of white collar and financial crimes agents in house already. If they believe there's tax implications, then fine turn the evidence over to the IRS, but this seems like a case of bloat/redundancy. Also seems like there might not be tons of skill overlap in financial crimes agents and agents equipped to handle physical violence?

Why not just let the eggheads bring local police? Plainclothes agents are also more likely to have a misunderstanding/mistaken identity end up in a shootout situation. Uniformed officers/SWAT seems safer for all parties.
