Haley later Wednesday attempted to clarify those remarks but reiterated her stance that she believes an embryo is “an unborn baby.”

“I didn’t say that I agreed with the Alabama ruling. What the question that I was asked is, ‘Do I believe an embryo is a baby?’ I do think that if you look in the definition an embryo is considered an unborn baby,” she said.


She is a weak, scared politician. She explicitly did not say she disagreed with the ruling. She’s trying to tie some imaginary middle line. However that middle line doesn’t exist here.

The Alabama Supreme Court has ruled embryo babies being destroyed is murder. That ruling has immediately resulted in IVF facilities in Alabama shutting down. If you refuse to condemn the ruling (which she has refused to do) and on top of that you state embryos are babies, you are signaling that you support the ruling and the resulting consequences of banning IVF procedures that inherently result in the destruction of embryos.
