13.5 per 100k is quite a bit less than the states of LA, AL, MS and about

the same as SC, AR, and MO. The entire state of OR had a rate about 1/3 of any of those. Do you actually have a point?

Interesting map. The high murder rate states looks an awful lot like the trump voting states.
