…sarcastic in his comments, as we all know. He would not actually encourage Putin to attack a NATO country, of course, nor would Putin do so regardless, but it’s a rhetorical shot across the bow that the chocolate-making countries need to honor their commitments to the alliance if they want America’s protection. It’s what any American president with any balls would do.
