Because the actual document and the article bear nothing in common


Is "indigenous knowledge" ridiculous? As somebody who is not religious, yes. But then I don't believe in the power of prayer either. Do you? Are the FDA and CDC going to employ indigenous knowledge in their research? No. It doesn't say that anywhere in the document. It's only mentioned to the extent that it discusses granting native communities "more autonomy over research questions and research design, recognition of data and knowledge sovereignty, and inclusion of multiple forms of evidence, such as Indigenous Knowledge." Everything in that sentence could equally well be applied to studies of the power of prayer, which the government has funded over the years in various ways.

But as usual, you've managed to find something completely pointless to be angry about to start the day. Congrats!
