There is one person in the administration that owns the "crisis"

and that's the guy at the top, whether he likes it or not (and whether it's fair or not). Until the WH does more or figures out how to deflect (hopefully after trying to do more), it is going to be hard for him to escape the stench.

So Axios and unnamed sources can talk about a lack of ownership all they want, it doesn't really matter in the end if the job isn't getting done - all roads lead back to the same place.
