Hard to argue with this assessment of the House (and maybe Senate) GOP from the week's Economist. Pretty amazing how so many men and women have cast their lot with Donald Trump and will do (seemingly) anything to win an election.

Call me crazy, but if Putin, Xi and Orban like someone, we might want to question why. Definitely contagious at this point, Donald Trump influencing policy from the sidelines. What a bunch of cowardly, low-character, feckless people we have "leading" our country. They won't even take a deal they asked for, they're just that frightened now. Truly pathetic, but one needn't look further than this board to see why some of them are doing it (others may just be that stupid).

Making the world more dangerous, making us weaker. Our grandfathers are turning in their graves right now over the idea that we'd piss away the positions they worked so hard to establish for us.
