To go after political enemies?

In all seriousness, I'm going to assume that Brazil doesn't protect political speech the way we do. We've had people here ruthlessly and baselessly attacking our institutions, and hiding behind Constitutional provisions (some of what we've seen should be the basis for defamation cases). And those voices have been amplified on social media and by "information" outlets like Fox News (Trump's ministry of propaganda).

I'm glad we do protect it, but it does sadden me that we have people willing to rally behind the "leaders" that abuse those freedoms with abandon. Another one of those situations where the people codifying those protections could never have imagined people actually (successfully) abusing them the way they have (like our asylum laws, like 2A). The attacks on our institutions, principles and people has been revolting, but we seem to have normalized the behavior. With freedom and prosperity comes great responsibility, which we seem to have forgotten (or forgotten to care about).

If they have the case and he's found guilty, lock him up. There are some people here that should meet the same fate.
