…now such an obvious problem with former officials hoarding questionable docs that it would make no sense to prosecute only one today and not investigate and prosecute all of them, which is obviously not going to happen for obvious reasons. Best bet is for Congress somehow to refine legislation so that it can be prosecuted in the future or, if nothing else, serve as a deterrent.

Even then, it’s moot as far as the president is concerned due to separation of powers issues, which is why Trump isn’t and couldn’t be in violation of such law.
