If the Supreme Court takes up the case


They likely won’t rule until June/July. That would be terrible.

The other option is for the Supreme Court to let the DC ruling stand and completely punt on it. That ruling would come in like two weeks. That would be ideal to prevent Trump from delaying his trial to after the election.

It would take four Justices to say yes, we want to hear the case. Outside of Thomas and Alito, I’m not sure who the other two are. I’m sure Roberts would like to punt on this and let the DC decision stand.
