I started to post that that seems a little too strong, but we have a bill
That both the majority leader, and the minority leader support. There are reports that a majority of Republicans in the Senate support it, as well as a preponderance of the Democrats in the Senate.
The only people who seem to oppose it, are the Republicans in the Senate and the house, who believe the election of Donald Trump, and bowing to his, every demand is more important than addressing the border crisis.
Is it perfect? Likely not. Do I agree with every part of it? No. But it sure seems like a reasonable start. Let’s get started. The parts that don’t work, they can tweak those fix those. If new ideas come up they can be voted on too.
I kind of thought that’s how Congress was supposed to work.
