Compromise, because after all, the point of all Trumpistani tactics is to impose whatever policy they think is “good policy”. Only the third of govt controlled by Trumpistan gets to be arbiter of that, and so leaving the horrible chaos they complain about on campaign trails in place unchanged is…better than stricter asylum rules, or changes to parole, or setting limits at which border closure happens, or anything else. In this case, anything less than perfect in the eyes of the party trying to impose minority rule is…not as good as the “invasions” and “chaos” and “intentional destruction” they try to scare people with now.

That of course makes no sense outside the fantasy kingdom. In the really real world, improvement is better than no improvement. So, obviously, that’s not Trumpistan’s point at all. Trumpistan’s point is “politics over country” - let that awful invasion continue so we can campaign on it. And give aid and comfort to Hamas, Putin, and Xi as a bonus - maybe Trumpistan can be resurrected concurrently with the further spread of Putinism.

If it does garner 10 or more senate repub votes, and if Johnson does bow to the cult leader and prevent the full house from voting (because it would pass), well, then all the “intentional destruction” histrionics Trumpies like to parrot will actually be true!
