tells part of the story. What kind of weaponry is aboard those numbers? How large are the ships making up those numbers? How close to their target do they have to be to launch an attack? What kind of targeting support structure exists ashore which enables over-the-horizon attacks? How much damage can those ships sustain and still be able to fight or at least get back to port to be repaired?

One of the problems with Soviet ship design was the amount of exposed ordinance on deck. While rows of missile launchers look impressive, they're also pounds and pounds and pounds of high explosive encased in a quarter inch of steel that might as well be paper as far as a missile warhead is concerned. That's why the Moskva sunk. That's why this latest ship sunk. That last explosion was the explosive on the drone setting off the nearly 6000 pounds of high explosive in the warheads of the missiles in the launcher directly above where the drone hit the side of the ship.
