That's not the current issue, that's not the issue we are discussing. We
are discussing the govts right to punish (no matter how you do that, taking away a privilege is one way) based on a company/citizen disagreeing with it.
If you wan to talk about a government having the power to provide special privileges we can do that and it has gone amok. But it's a different issue.
You cannot look at any state or any major city in this country that has not done that with MANY businesses. If you have a problem with that we can discuss that. State, local and federal governments all do it and do it often. And it does provide that government more power. It's now so widespread that its part of the fabric of what our respective governments functions are.
Is that your issue? You'd rather a state like FL not have the power to provide special privileges?
